1982 Mk1 VW Golf
First generation Volkswagen Golf built on 1st December 1982 in Wolfsburg and sold to a Londoner the same year. Styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro, this car is a beautiful example of the iconic successor to the Volkswagen Beetle. The first generation Golf was a staple fixture on British roads throughout the late 70s and 80s. A beautifully simple design made for your average man or woman to roam the roads and by 1983 Volkswagen had sold over 5 million. This is one of very few Gold edition first generation golfs, completely unmolested and looking the same as the day it rolled off the production line.
